What is Capacity?
Capacity services are designed to give operators the opportunity to build their own customised networks for private use, integrating site-to-site access services both in layer 1 and in layer 2, for their international customers. Regardless whether it is a direct connection between offices, a temporary event, an expansion to new countries or connectivity between applications.
P2P interconnection may be provided by the same provider or by different providers, enabling national, regional and transatlantic coverage, thereby optimising costs.
Additionally, we have evolved towards optimisation of high-priority applications, such as voice and video, offering a wide variety of transport routes and flexibility so that any protocol is independent and can transport traffic, whether over our global network with Telxius or our partners.

FAQs
We offer coverage at national, regional and transoceanic level. This is possible thanks to our agreements with local providers and our own Obs. That is, regional providers, global providers and mainly due to the broad network coverage provided by the Telefónica Group company Telxius. It has 87,000 km of optic fibre cable and 110 PoP infrastructures in over 34 countries, which enables layer 1 and layer 2 point-to-point connectivity .
The coverage of the Capacity service involves America (Latam and USA) through out SAM-1 submarine cable, with expansion towards Europe. (with neutral point of access in London). From Telefónica Global Solutions’ network nodes, the Capacity service can be extended towards other locations through global access providers.
The service standard, by default, does not include the management, being Telefónica Global Solutions responsible for managing incidents in the Point-to-Point circuit between site A and site X. The customer will be responsible for the equipment at the ends. If an equipment manager is required, it will be handled like a special project and quoted.
The Capacity Service can also be offered in a location where there is already MPLS connectivity provided by Telefónica Global Solutions; however, this solution does not enable Point-to-Point link visibility. If an equipment manager is required, it will be handled like a special project and quoted.
Whenever there is more than one provider, provider connection will have to be done in a data centre (Cross-Connection). This Cross-Connection must always be done by one of the Service Providers. In this way we simplify supply and incident management.
In customer delivery points, the customer is responsible for Cross-Connection. If the customer wants Telefónica Global Solutions to provide it, the quote will be included in the proposal.
The execution of tests by section is being considered. Based on standard RFC2544 in order to guarantee operation in our delivery. We do not conduct tests directly with the customer prior to delivery, except upon request and expressly quoted.
Capacity’s P2P service considers offering SLAs, but does not predefine the committed values, since it will always be based on the SLAs committed by the providers to Telefónica Global Solutions (case-by-case). There will be no Proactivity SLA, which is an unmanaged service.
