The Challenge
Working on a global scale can be complex so it is important for multinational companies to identify synergies to be able to achieve economies of scale and ultimately cost savings.
PSA Peugeot Citroën wanted to leverage its scale across Europe, covering all the companies in the Group: vehicle manufacturer PCA, the brands marketed by Peugeot Automobiles and Citroën Automobiles, GEFCO the logistics operator for the PSA Group, and Faurecia, the vehicle component manufacturer.
It was looking to achieve greater standardization and to simplify operations by optimizing its supplier relationships, and with an important objective to reduce its suppliers to an optimum of two from a high of 16.
In short, to save costs.
The Solution
Based on our customer’s needs, we deployed a common Mobile Voice with a Private VPN system that works across Europe.
We provided standard solutions covering 5 countries deploying mobile data connectivity for more than 7,000 mobile lines and offering a standard handset portfolio with three tiers.
Critically, PSA Peugeot Citroën required central ownership and control to ensure reduced transactional costs and an effective engagement strategy.
PSA Peugeot Citroën benefited from a Master Services Agreement and Global Account Management and liked the fact that Telefónica and its partners collaborated seamlessly to deliver a responsive, single and unified offer for all countries, led by a central sales team.

The Results
Our solutions enabled our customer to achieve economies of scale and enhanced synergies in multiple countries, as well as standardize communication deployment, across both handset range and service delivery.
