The Challenge

When you’re in the business of security, being able to respond to incidents in a timely manner is critical.

Bosch Sicherheitssysteme, one of the world’s leading suppliers of products and systems for security and communications, needed to guarantee communications to deliver security incident notifications so the appropriate actions could be taken.

Having a redundant system design using fixed and mobile networks and a reliable connection for quick and accurate notifications were fundamental requirements. It was also important for their chosen partner to provide mobile connections independent from the home network to avoid an increase in roaming costs.

The answer was our Global SIM technology.

The Solution

We delivered 30,000 Global SIM cards in more than 3,000 sites. The reliability and stability of our Global SIM, which is specifically designed for M2M communication, combined with adjusted pooling rates, enabled Bosch to meet customer demand.

The personal touch is important too, so a highly skilled personal account manager worked closely with the customer throughout. Our Smart M2M management and analysis tool, with functionality integrated via a standardized interface, also made life easier.

When you get the connectivity right and increase the reliability of alarm systems notifications about intrusions or other incidents can reach either the customer’s central office, the police or fire brigade immediately, which minimizes the impact of the incidence.

The Results

Thanks to our Global SIM technology, Bosch had a permanent secure communication connection, using all available networks equally through national and international roaming meaning there was no need to constantly change networks.
