Telefónica Global Solutions has won 2 awards (Best Anti-Fraud Innovation and Best Satellite Operator) at the prestigious Global Connectivity Awards, which recognise and celebrate best practices, initiatives and services that stand out for their exceptional quality, creativity and global impact.

London, 16th October 2024.- Formerly known as the Global Carrier Awards, these awards inspire greater progress, collaboration and investment in the telecommunications sector, ultimately benefiting businesses and consumers around the world.

Best Anti-Fraud Innovation:
Telefónica Global Solutions’ innovative fraud management system (TUKU FMS) is a robust and effective solution, developed in-house and configurable by the customer. Constantly evolving, it uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to detect and prevent fraud, unwanted and illegal calls in near real time, achieving 95% fraud mitigation for our customers.
In addition, Telefónica Global Solutions has been certified for the fourth consecutive year as compliant with the principles of the GLF (Global Leaders´ Forum) Code of Conduct to prevent fraud in international telecommunications.
Best Satellite Operator
Telefónica Global Solutions is a leading satellite communications company, recognised for innovation, strategic partnerships and bridging the digital divide. We integrate innovative multi-orbital solutions, improving connectivity in different regions of the planet.
In addition, the Telefónica Group received the award for the Best Sustainability and Environmental, Social, Governmental (ESG) Initiative for the Eco Smart Seal, a project that encourages customers to include sustainability criteria in their purchasing decisions. By the end of 2023, 52% of our solutions have been verified as ‘Eco Smart’, contributing to the decarbonisation of other sectors, and our connectivity offering for B2B customers helped avoid the emission of 86.1 million tonnes of CO2.

In May, Eloy Rodriguez (Chief Wholesale Officer) was included in the Capacity Power 100 list that recognises pioneering, innovative and leading profiles driving the global digital infrastructure.
In June, we were awarded ‘Latam Regional Operator of the Year’ at the Carrier Community Global Awards 2024. This award recognises excellence in regional telecommunications services in Latin America with a positive impact on local connectivity and innovative approaches to the region’s challenges.
And in October, our colleague Alberto Marugán Torres was included in the 20 Rising Stars list, which highlights the brightest young talents under 35 who are revolutionising the telecommunications and technology sectors.
