Building a future-ready Network: Our technology transformation journey

Madrid, 24 April 2023.- In the move towards the cloud, the most common approach is to adopt a multi-cloud strategy due to the wide range of applications and their varying requirements, as well as the need to combine the use of public cloud services with on-premises solutions.

For this reason, the networks that support the growing traffic to the cloud must be transformed to enable the management of multiple clouds and ensure the latency, performance, and security demanded by the most discerning clients.

In this sense, we have established a 5-year vision, to transform our international network into the best business centric communications platform based on Network as a Service principles. Our goal is to become a global hub that connects all elements of the enterprise ecosystem, including sites, remote users, Cloud, Edge, and even the metaverse in the future, in the fastest and most reliable manner possible, while remaining technology-agnostic and providing support for any access technology or Overlay services.

To provide the best customer experience, our network will support hybrid connectivity, agile and elastic scaling, co-management, and self-service features, all while maintaining the security and accountability that services require. This new model of network usage also allows for flexible and innovative ‘Pay-as-you-X’ billing models, which optimize network usage and adjust to business needs in real-time.


In addition, our Machine Learning and Analytics platform will enhance the customer experience by providing real-time monitoring and other capabilities to build multiple Big Data use cases tailored to business needs.
