What is Personal Mobility?
Telefónica Global Solutions’ global satellite voice and data solution is based on different technologies: Inmarsat GSPS (IsatPhone), Iridium and Thuraya, complementing the BGAN land-based/mobile service defined in LAND-BASED MOBILE TELEPHONY [link to Land-based Mobile telephony].
Personal Mobility is a flexible service, can be deployed quickly and can be used permanently or temporarily, for emergencies and/or one-off situations that require an immediate response, even in regions with low cellular coverage.
It also includes value-added services such as voicemail, SMS, email and data, as well as plug&play terminals that are easy to use, portable, lightweight and can withstand the most adverse weather conditions, with long-lasting batteries.
