What is Cloud Connect?
Enterprises are increasingly adopting cloud-based industrial services such as VDC, IaaS and PaaS for their IT infrastructure and business applications.
Our Cloud Connect service offers you private and secure connectivity to leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), avoiding the problems of connecting via the Internet, such as: high latency, lack of traffic prioritisation or non-guaranteed security.
Cloud Connect is a service that connects services in the public cloud using our Global MPLS over a reliable, private virtual circuit to meet your digitisation needs, leaving you free to focus on what matters: your business.

FAQs
Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce and IBM Softlayer.
It is also possible to contract proprietary Telefónica cloud services such as Colocation/Housing, Virtual Data Centre or Open Cloud.
Each CSP has a service that enables the integration of the cloud platform with the private network of a third party (in this case, Telefónica). This service must be directly contracted with the CSP (in addition to the corresponding cloud services) in order to have Telefónica Cloud Connect.
Worldwide. It can be contracted from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, America and the Asia-Pacific region. No matter where your offices are located.
Yes, the service undertakes to deliver: Provisioning Time, Availability and Resolution Time, and Proactivity in the event of SLO incidents.
No. Each CSP is a VPN site within the same VPN. If you want another VPN, there is no problem.
Yes, each CSP is considered a different VPN, with different traffic.
Yes, our connections to CSPs are redundant by default (Intra-PoP), due to which all data are fully protected and you can work without problems. An Intra-PoP redundancy option is also available for geographical diversification.
- Intra-PoP (by default): Redundant connection between Telefónica’s MPLS network and the CSP, included by default. Two redundant VLAN connections via Cloud Connect in a single PoP.
- Inter-PoP: Double redundant connection between Telefónica’s MPLS network and the CSP, for the most demanding customers. Two Cloud Connects in two different locations (principal and backup) within the same region.
Cloud Connect does not have limitations and you can add as many VPN sites as you wish to its VPN in Cloud Connect. However, the required CSP must be consulted as to whether it allows Inter-PoP redundancy for a specific service.
Cloud Connect’s Inter-PoP redundancy configuration is principal PoP-backup PoP, in active-passive mode.
No, the bandwidth options are those defined by the CPS.
The proprietary cloud services of Telefónica and Open Cloud distinguish six CoSs. However, third-party CSPs do not mark traffic with different CoSs, except for the Skype for Business (Office365) application. Cloud Connect normally classifies the types of service quality associated with traffic from the CSP as “Bronze”.
Yes, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Oracle offer the possibility of connecting to cloud services via dedicated 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps ports for the exclusive use of a customer. Dedicated ports make it possible to share bandwidth with different peerings (Private and Public) and connect the same Cloud Connect to different Virtual Private Clouds (VPC).
Dedicated ports must be requested in duplicate because the service is intra-PoP redundant by default.
Yes, bandwidth reports and usage for each virtual circuit are available for inbound and outbound traffic within the service.
